The Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of human and mouse immunology, advanced technology development (e.g. flow cytometry, transcriptomics, and genome editing), and mechanistic approaches to biological systems. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing and leading an independent, externally funded research program in human immune health, technology development, and mechanistic science. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative research projects that integrate computational and experimental approaches to study immune mechanisms. The successful candidate will publish high-impact research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present work at national and international conferences while engaging in service activities within the department, institution, and professional communities. Opportunities may arise to be involved in mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior researchers.
